Soft wide leg pants
These pants fit two of my favorite categories for summer pants- soft pants and wide leg pants. When it's hot out but I need to wear pants, I turn to these. Soft wide leg pants are breezy and cool, yet easy to dress up.

Beachy waves
Blazer- Limited
necklace Kendra Scott
This outfit was created out of a need for something that didn't need ironing and could get me out the door quickly. I had already wasted too much time on hair. I was pretty sure that I had already worn something similar but I couldn't find it in my archives. You can see five ways I've previously worn these pants here and a look back at the blouse here. I suppose this outfit would be another nod to fall.
My attempt to style the new haircut led to some accidental waves and curls, so I just went with it and created beachy waves all over. I actually got compliments on my hair this day. I attempted the waves two other days before I got my hair cut again, but they didn't turn out quite as well as they did this day. I have a lot of hair, thick hair. Curling or creating beachy waves takes a lot of time that I usually don't have in the mornings. I am NOT a morning person.

Instagram lately
I think this first outfit is incredibly boring, but saved by the necklace and shoes.
top- old
blazer- thrifted
pants- JCP
shoes- Nordstrom
Chartreuse and navy pinstripes? Yes! I think this was the first time I added a necklace with this top because it has it's own embellishment, but the long necklace works.
Blazer- Gap
pants- Gap
blouse/necklace JCP
Again- just boring to me, saved by the necklace and shoes, although I probably would not repeat the necklace with this.
Blazer/ pants- The Limited
blouse- The Limited
shoes- TJMaxx
Cobalt! Need I say more.
Blazer/ pants- The Limited
blouse- JCP
shoes- Payless
That's a lot of navy. Maybe that was my brain's subconscious switch from black to navy for spring?

Cobalt and grey
pants- Loft
necklace- thrifted option
earrings- Limited option
worn Feb. 2, 2016
I tend to get on a color kick and repeat that color over and over for a while. The week before I wore this I wore cobalt and black. This time I paired cobalt with grey. I also wore this blazer and these pants with stripes and leopard recently. I love how pieces just mix and remix for new outfits.
What have you been repeating lately?

Mustard print skirt - four ways
worn Oct. 18, 2015
This skirt is no longer available. I picked it up last season, but still love it. You may be intimidated by a pattern like this, but you can pretty much treat this one like a solid mustard skirt and pair it with a variety of tops. I was inspired by a pin I saw to pair it with cobalt. It was actually cool enough for my tall boots last weekend (at least with a skirt), so I pulled them out.

Cobalt again
necklace- Our World option
worn Sept 23, 2015
Since the calendar said it was officially fall, I busted out a pair of booties. These work well for the office, but I rarely wear them casually. You may also remember this cobalt sweater from last September's 30x30 remix. I wore it four ways during that remix, including pairing it with black slacks. I wore it with a red blazer then. Funny how changing shoes, accessories and your topper, or completer piece (blazer) can make yet another new outfit. If you have some good base pieces, you don't need lots of clothes to have a workable wardrobe.
