Butterflies and hearts

I created this outfit from scratch, no pinterest or magazine inspiration involved. I started with the cardigan and pulled out the scarf and decided all I needed were some basics like a pencil skirt and white blouse. Done. Since it was cool, I wore boots, but if it were a bit warmer the same outfit could be created with heels or cute flats. I wasn't thinking about Valentine's Day when I put this together but noticed for the first time that this scarf has hearts on it. I received it as a gift last summer and thus far have only noticed the butterflies. Duh. I should pay more attention to patterns.

I previously showcased four other ways I've worn this cardigan HERE.

It's finally Friday!!! This isn't my Friday outfit. I'll be out of the office today and wearing something more casual, but I'm still glad it's Friday.

This blazer is pretty close to marsala, the new color of the year, although I think marsala has more brown tones. Whatever you call it, I love this color paired with navy.

Ruffles and flats

I feel pretty strongly that most dressy outfits, especially ones with fancy ruffles, look better with heels. And some casual outfits look better with flats, booties, or something other than heels. This outfit would have been better with heels, but my poor feet just felt like wearing flats. Sometimes comfort wins out over looks.

A sweet look for Valentine's

Some might say this qualifies as Valentine's date night attire. It does have  pink. I personally would never wear this on a date. I did wear it to church Sunday. I was challenging myself to find another way to wear this skirt since I've only worn it a couple of times. I was pleased with the results.

We ran errands Saturday morning. We got the car serviced and upgraded phones. We haven't upgraded phones in 3-4 years. Why must that take 2 hours even when you are at the door when they open?

The weather was cool during the morning so I took the opportunity to wear this poncho I received as a Christmas gift. I now have three ponchos- a red one, camel, and a grey one, and I don't have near enough opportunities to wear them. I think my go to for styling a poncho is jeans and boots. How do you wear them?

You are not seeing anything here you have not seen many times before. All of these pieces have been worn many times, but not in this arrangement. I previously showed you nine ways I've worn the camel blazer. I thought it would be fun this time to take a look at how I've worn the leopard scarf. I'm sure there are more ways that just didn't make it to the blog, but here are four of them.

I talked about this already this week -my subconscious development of a go to winter formula. I did it again. This time I was reminded by the Loft website and their pairing of tweed pants with a yellow blouse of my own yellow sweater.

I hope you have a great weekend.
